Entrepreneur Scholarship Programs
John & Mary Pappajohn Scholarship Program - $1,000 each (10 awarded)
The John & Mary Pappajohn Scholarship Fund was created through a generous gift from John and Mary Pappajohn. At $1,000 each, these honors are targeted to students of junior, senior, or graduate status who have started or who intend to establish their own business or are participating in the entrepreneurship programs on campus. Criteria used for scholarship recipients include a demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship (practical or classroom), clear business idea, and when possible, scholarships are awarded to disadvantaged or minority students per the Pappajohn’s request.
Bill and Sue Gauger Scholarship Award - $1,000
Edith Kooyumjian created this scholarship in honor of her late son, Bill Gauger. Bill was a 1974 Iowa State University graduate with a degree in Industrial Administration. Bill had an entrepreneurial spirit and went on to run his own heating and cooling business in Latimer, Iowa. For that reason, the donor wishes for this scholarship to be awarded to a junior or senior in the College of Business who has entrepreneurial aspirations and interests, is involved in the Entrepreneurship Learning Community, or is pursuing the Entrepreneurial Studies Minor.
Bruce Lambert Scholarship - $1,000
Bruce Lambert has established this scholarship for a College of Business undergraduate student who is also an Iowa resident and who is involved with the Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship programs. Student applicants should demonstrate entrepreneurial interests and activities on campus.
